- Month of June: Adopt A Shelter Cat Month – Do you partner with any local shelters? Would you be able to feature some of their shelter kitties for adoption?
- Month of June: National Pet Preparedness Month: Talk about some not-so-obvious emergency items that every pet owner should have on hand in case of an emergency.
- Month of June: National Microchipping Month: Talk about the procedure. What are some things people may not know? Is it painful? How long does it take? How does it work?
- June 4: National Hug Your Cat Day – Conduct a poll- On a scale of 1-10, how cuddly is your cat? 1 being not at all, 10 being a massive cuddle bug.
- June 5: National Running Day – Ask: Do you have a pup with a ton of energy? No time like the present to go for a run!
- June 5: Since yesterday was National Hug Your Cat Day, today has been honorarily deemed “National Hug Your Cat Day Survivors” day!
- June 8: National Best Friends Day: Human or otherwise…tell us your favorite thing about your best friend!
- June 11: World Pet Memorial Day: What are some comforting words you give your pet-parents when they are grieving a loss of their beloved pet?
- June 16: Father’s Day: Any fathers in the office? Celebrate them! Do you have any photos of these fathers with their kiddos?
- June 19: National Garfield the Cat Day: A perfect day to share our favorite Garfield comics.
- June 17-21: Start of Take Your Pet to Work Week: Ask: How many people are still working from home? Ask them to share a photo of them working from home with their pets!
- June 21: Take Your Dog to Work Day: Ask: “Refer to your dog as your “co-worker” and tell us what they do all day.
- June 24: Cat World Domination Day: Do you have an office cat? Share a photo of them dominating the office is true cat fashion!
- June 28: National Insurance Awareness Day: Do you accept pet insurance? Tell your audience all about it! What do you accept? What do you recommend and why? Where can they learn more?
Misc:
- What did you want to be when you were little? Did you always want to be in the veterinary field? What is your favorite thing about working in this field?
- Tell us the top 3 things you appreciate most about your pet.
- Remind your audience about any routine check-ups they should be scheduling or about any preventatives they should consider while everyone is spending more time outside.
- Share some tick-finding tips! Where are ticks most like to embed themselves on pets?
- What is the most popular over-the-counter product you have? Talk about it, what purpose does it serve, and why it is so popular!
- Office selfie- how many people can you get into a selfie? Show your beautiful faces!
- Share a recent patient success! As always, include a photo if you can and tag the pet parent so they can celebrate with you.
- Talk about pool safety tips for pets
- Share a photo of the front of your office! Bonus points for including some staff members in the photo. Tell your audience that you’re so grateful that they’ve trusted your team to care for their fur-babies!
- Get together and take photos of your staff with any puppy patients that come through the door! Post at the end of the day and talk about the Dog Party you had all day.
- Poll: Would you rather take your dog swimming in a pool or at the beach?
- If your pet could choose anywhere in the world to travel – where would they go?
- Talk about asphalt heat and pets. How can you tell when the ground is too hot for your pet’s feet?
