Dr. Anahita was raised in Los Angeles and received her BS in Zoology from Cal Poly Pomona.
In an effort to combine her love of animals with her love of travel, Anahita moved to Ireland, where she attended University College Dublin, School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing the school’s rigorous program, she moved back to Southern California, where she began to develop her career as a veterinarian. Throughout her work at many hospitals over the years, Dr. Anahita learned about what makes a veterinary practice run efficiently and professionally. Further, she observed that currently in veterinary services there is a gap in customer service and care.
So, she took it upon herself to fill in this gap and is very excited about launching Emerald Animal Hospital. By combining her previously acquired skills in hospitality with her experience in the veterinary field, Dr. Anahita has designed a hospital that merges the high standard of medicine patients require with a special eye to quality customer service and comfort all clients deserve. Dr. Anahita is passionate about providing true quality service and invites you to come be part of the Emerald Family at Emerald Animal Hospital, serving the West LA neighborhood.
During her free time, Dr. Anahita enjoys spending time with her large family, cooking new recipes, working out, traveling, basking in the lovely LA sunshine, and relaxing on the couch with her cat, Jag.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jamie is a Westside local with a micro zoo/farm that includes a husband, two kids, a flock of backyard chickens, and too many more to mention without sounding crazy. Her passion for animals started early on which led her to work at a veterinary hospital for over 20 years.
Jamie earned her degree from University of California Berkeley in Anthropology and while there, found a love for Zachary’s Pizza. Go Bears! While academia has its rewards, Jamie discovered her passion was working and caring for animals, whether healthy or in distress.
Jamie is an experienced manager who believes strongly in offering quality veterinary medicine, exceptional customer service and fostering a positive, supportive environment for staff to grow and thrive.
